Meikles Limited

Meikles Limited forms one of the leading retail and hospitality groups in Zimbabwe comprising: TM Supermarkets, which is one of the country's largest supermarket chains; Meikles Hotels, which is Zimbabwe's premier corporate, five star hotel group; Tanganda Tea Estate, which grows and packages tea for both the domestic and international market; and Thomas Meikle Stores, trading under the names of Meikles, Barbours and Greatermans.

Meikles’ hotel portfolio is spearheaded by the iconic Meikles Hotel in Harare. The group also operates The Victoria Falls Hotel, a joint venture with African Sun, and the Cape Grace in Cape Town, South Africa.

Meikles is the major shareholder in the TM supermarket network, one of the country’s major retail chains partly owned by Pick n Pay of South Africa. The group also operates the Thomas Meikle Stores, a wide network of stores spread throughout the country.

Tanganda produces some of the country’s most popular tea brands from its four tea estates and three coffee farms in the Chipinge area of Zimbabwe. The company also operates a blending and packaging plant in Mutare and sales and distribution depots in the country’s major centers.
